I voted yesterday. I voted for Obama, and against every incumbent regardless of party.
My father also voted yesterday. He has voted Republican in the last 11 presidential elections. That's 44 years of elections. The last time he cast his presidential ballot for a democrat was in 1960 when he voted for JFK. Yesterday he voted for Obama as well.
When I was walking my dog Carla last night around Noe, I could hear people hootin and hollerin in the streets. The Castro was so crazy that helicopters were flying over. My neighbor Randy jumped outside in her PJs yelling "yeehaaaw".
My dad called me after CNN announced the victory. He sounded very hopeful.
It's a good time for America.
